The mission of EMBERS Staffing Solutions is to provide companies with a socially responsible alternative to typical employment agencies while providing our candidates with a ladder of opportunities to improve their skills and advance their careers.

EMBERS Staffing Solutions is the only socially responsible staffing agency in Canada.  We provide companies with talented, reliable and tested construction, warehouse and office workers to help solve temporary staffing needs of companies and create employment.

All profits from EMBERS Staffing Solutions are reinvested back into EMBERS & EMBERS Staffing Solutions employment programs. EMBERS helps people establish strong foundations for economic self-sufficiency in two unique ways; one is by providing support and training to help people start and operate a microenterprise, and the other is by operating an employment agency that gives round-the-clock support and coaching to help people stay employed and grow as a person.

We see hiring EMBERS workers as a win/win; we help companies solve temporary staffing needs and companies help us build strong communities through employment.

the model

A temporary staffing agency, such as EMBERS Staffing Solutions, finds and retains a pool of worker candidates. Companies, in need of short-term workers, contract with the agency to send these temporary workers, or temps, to work with them on assignment from one day to many months. The worker candidates remain employees of EMBERS Staffing Solutions who is responsible for recruitment, interviewing, hiring, payroll, Canadian Pension Plan (CPP), Employment Insurance (EI) and Workers Compensation Board expense. 100% of profits earned by EMBERS Staffing Solutions go toward providing job supports and value-added training to help workers get back on their feet and into the workforce.

BENEFITS

Qualifying candidates receive fair wages, weekly pay cheques, financial literacy education, flexible scheduling, access to an equipment lending library, and job coaching. If workers receive sufficient supports and are carefully assessed in order to make appropriate job matches, the result will also be satisfied employer clients.
