Our 15th Annual ‘Against All Odds’ Charity Golf Tournament Recap
On Monday, August 11th, the sun was shining, the course was buzzing, and the community came together in full swing for EMBERS’ 15th Annual Against All Odds Charity Golf Tournament. Hosted at the beautiful University Golf Club, the day was filled with energy, connection, and a shared commitment to supporting people in building brighter futures through meaningful work.
What began 15 years ago as a small fundraiser has grown into an annual event that brings together over 150 golfers, industry professionals, and community champions. And this year was no exception; it was our biggest and most impactful tournament yet.
From early morning tee-offs to the banquet dinner and silent auction, every moment reflected the power of community coming together for a purpose. Together, we raised critical funds for EMBERS’ Worker Support Program — a wraparound support model that includes access to counselling, PPE, transportation, meals, affordable dental care, and more, all designed to help individuals overcome barriers and thrive in the workforce.

Honouring our Worker of the Year
One of the most moving moments of the day was the presentation of our Worker of the Year Award, given to a standout individual who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and growth. This year's recipient, Tiffanie, inspired everyone in the room with her story of perseverance, hard work, and impact.
Tiffanie has worked hundreds of hours through EMBERS Staffing Solutions and Peak Construction on the Sen̓áḵw project, and continues to be a shining example of the resilience and determination that drives our mission forward.
