We recently visited Darwin’s Lonsdale Square projects in North Vancouver. EMBERS Staffing has placed 100+ workers on the multi-site project over the past couple of years. The project consists of a 113 unit purpose-built rental building developed by Darwin Properties and Minto Apartments and a seniors community care facility for Sunrise Senior Living, spanning 82,019 square feet and comprising of 100 units. 

Andrew has also been a participant in our training programs and has achieved three different certifications through EMBERS. Most recently, Andrew completed his Construction Safety Officer certification which is a huge achievement.

Emem joined EMBERS Staffing in September 2023 after struggling to find work as an international student. Through chatting with friends, Emem learned of EMBERS Staffing, attended an orientation and has been with us ever since. 

Derek started as a General Labourer, has been a Traffic Control Person work, and recently passed his Hoist Operator exam! Derek has accomplished a lot in a short time period, making big strides towards his career goals.

Meet John, an outstanding EMBERS worker! After completing a degree in Hotel Management, John moved to Vancouver seven years ago with the aspiration of working in the bustling tourism industry. After a few years, and with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, John decided he needed to look for a new employment path.

With just 48 hours’ notice, our staffing team coordinated 30 workers to support two shifts: one in the morning for stage setup, and another late at night for teardown after the concert. Our crews made sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule.
